Hello! I am currently working as a Biological Adminsitrator with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture. Working out of the state Capitol, I am engaged in a wide variety of exciting projects, and travel throughout the state to learn about regulation and policy for Florida’s second-largest economic driver – agriculture. All of my work is grounded in a strong ethic of environmental and economic sustainability, social and economic equity, and using the best available science in regulatory and policy decision making. My previous role with FDACS was as a Gulf Research Program Science Policy Fellow.

I recently had an op-ed published in the Tampa Bay Times, inspired by my time working in science policy in Florida’s capital. You can read it here! (Note: you may need to turn off any ad blockers to access the full article)

** I am currently available to contribute original pieces, for speaking engagements, and for other outreach activities. Please contact me to explore how we might work together!

This site highlights some of my professional activities and service, contains my CV, and general marine science, conservation, and policy topics I’m interested in. More information on many of the groups and universities I have been or am currently involved with can be found on the Links page.
